The Lynn Creek side channel project will be getting underway in September, but in the meantime, the spawning channel is pretty dry.  There are four pools all of which have LOTS of fry in them (great excitement!) and at the moment they look pretty happy.  BUT the hot weather is expected to continue and we are concerned that the pools will shrink even further and that the fry will be at risk.

  If we can get a few people to walk the side channel a couple of times a week for the next three or four weeks that would be really helpful.

If things start looking iffy we may need to arrange to move the fish so we need to keep an eye on this.  It isn't a very long walk - maybe 30 minutes including stopping and looking.  If you are available to help out, please reply to this post and we will contact you more information on where to go and what to look for.
